Elevate Your Day to Feel Connected to your Senses

Don't we all deserve a spa moment to elevate our day? It not only feels good to add small delights to your routine, it can also allow you to feel more connected to your senses.

I strongly believe that feeling connected to your senses translates into increased confidence that is palpable and powerful.

So, don't we all deserve to elevate our day, or even to rescue a dreadful day and add a bright spot?
Yes, we do!
Don't even need to think about it!
And I would submit that these small moments are also what make a life truly dimensional and beautiful.

Here are some ideas for adding sensory delights to your ordinary days:
(strictly PG - I'm sure you can handle any other ideas on your own :D )

1. Grab some beautiful flowers to add color and scent to your home or workplace

2. Switch to an essential oil perfume. Rose is traditional, but you can even create your own blends and put them in a necklace diffuser

3. Paint something. Don't make a big deal of it. Just get some craft paints and use thick paper or a canvas and really focus on the feeling of the paint on the paintbrush spreading onto your canvas. Be present and enjoy without judgement

4. Take a sensory bath adding a wonderful, non-toxic product like a homemade bath bomb or an organic bath treat and add some candles to create a soft atmosphere (if you are going to use essential oils - *please* use organic, ensure they are appropriate for use on the skin, and mix with something like epsom salt to ensure that it doesn't just puddle on the water and irritate your skin!)

5. Cook a soup or vegetable dish that takes a small amount of preparation and really experience the sights, sounds and smells. Chop fresh herbs and enjoy both the aroma and the sounds of chopping. Just tune in and be present as much as possible.

I hope this little list gets your creative juices flowing.
What occurs to you for adding sensory delights to your day?
Of course, I am spoiled with my NYR Organic shelf in my house I can pick a new delight every day. It might be a Jasmine and Ylang Ylang Body Cream after a shower or a spritz of my White Tea Facial Mist after a walk in the summer heat. I can pick between my Bee Lovely hand cream or my Wild Rose hand cream because, of course, I had to buy the whole set. I'm not saying this to tease you! I want you to know the many joys of NYR Organics, too, so feel free to comment below for a free sample set. I'd love to send you a sensory treat right away.

Any other ideas to share? It is always a treat to hear from you all!

Sometimes I do good (and other confidence boosters)

When you have a quiet moment, take a second and think of something creative that you love to do and hold that in your mind for a second....

Now I need to ask: do you like sharing this thing you love to do, or do you keep it private?

Some people experience great joy from sharing their creative works with the world... or at least with their close family and friends! If that's you, then you are wonderful (and we appreciate you and your work!). If you are one of those who doesn't want to share your efforts, is it possible that you are too hard on yourself?

For a lot of us, when we do something that represents "us" - especially something creative like writing or art, we go through a strange pattern. That pattern can play out like this: You write something you like and feel fairly proud of it (happy!). Then, shortly thereafter, you hate it and develop doubts and think that it is terrible (very unhappy!).  Does this ever happen to you?

Why do we flip flop like this? What changed? Certainly not whatever creative project created. It didn't suddenly get worse. So why does our confidence nosedive after the initial happiness high?

I honestly don't know the answer to that, but I do know that if I leave it alone long enough I can revisit it and then find that I am happy with it again. And fortunately, that satisfaction stays. Is that the way it is for you?

I wish we didn't have to suffer through these crashes of confidence, but the older I get, the more I recognize and understand them. Now I know I just need to ride out the uncomfortable drop, be kind to myself, and appreciate the process. Sure wish I hadn't ripped up so much poetry before I knew that :).

I wrote this little article on confidence on my LinkedIn profile years ago and just "found it" again. And it turns out, it wasn't as awful as I remembered. Interesting ;).

So, does this happen to anyone else? What is that last thing you created?

I am going to challenge everyone to stretch a little - create something and then share it if you can. After that, leave it for a few weeks and then come back with fresh eyes. Are you able to see your skill/talent/effort?

Sometimes we do good ;).

Take good care of yourself!

Have you thought about selling NYR Organics?

At $80 this is THE TIME to take the plunge

NYR Organics AMAZED me.

I mean it.

I was so cynical about all the green-washing for health and beauty products. How sad I was to learn about Burt's Bees being bought by Clorox, Toms of Maine bought by Colgate and on and on.

Then I tried NYR Organics and fell in love with my products. They really nurtured something elemental inside me at a very rough time in my life. My research into the quality and commitment of the company and the products sealed the deal for me. How refreshing to find a company that exceeds my expectations. Check out the page on NYR Organics Faqs to learn the details I researched (without spending 2 weeks like I did)!

Finding NYR Organics renewed my hope that I could run a quality business selling great products that nourish body and soul without harming Mother Earth. Please check out this site and then CONTACT ME so I can answer any questions you might have.

I love NYR Organics, I love conscious capitalism, I love helping people, and I love earning a reasonable income. If it turns out that an NYR Organics business is great fit for you, then I can set you up and if not, you are probably one step closer to finding the one that *is* right for you. In any case, I am glad you've taken the time to read this and I wish you all the success in the world!

To take the next step you can sign up here,
or
You can learn more about how NYR Organics Independent Consultants work and what the opportunity is like here.

UPDATE! This deal has ended. The cost of the kit is now on a different sale of $120 until the end of May 2017 and from then on will be $175 (for well over $350 of product!) Contact me if you'd like to know when the next sale is and I will put you on the list :)
