Heads up: I am a disorganized soul who is also a proud planner nerd.
I don't know about you, but when I am flailing around feeling incompetent in my life, my confidence takes a hit. So I searched around for years for an organizer and business planner that speaks to me. That way I won't abandon it (for long) and so that I can feel in control of my life and business(es).
I did not find one single planner that could do all that, but instead found two phenomenal planners with distinct purposes that, when combined, made the perfect system for me.
I use the Erin Condren planner for scheduling my life. It is an amazing tool for scheduling and for bringing fun to planning the details of my week, but it wasn't designed to inspire me or help me reach my very specific business goals.
The EC planner makes my goals achievable by keeping my life organized and on task (beautifully!) so it is vital to my planning. It also allows me space to record important events and things I want to remember. It can be like a more functional scrapbook. I past in pictures and make a note of important happenings. I keep all my previous years to look through for memories and inspiration.
I needed something extra special for my business goals, planning, and inspiration. Enter: Leonie Dawson's planner, My Shining Year.
I found Leonie Dawson online and fell in love with her vibrant, joyful aesthetic and creative approach to effective business planning. If it rings your bells, you will know it by peeking at the first few pages. One of the features I love most is the "celebrating and releasing" of the previous year and I love that the structure of the workbook encourages me to come back again and again. This is vital for reaching my goals.
There is one My Shining Year for 'Life' and one for 'Business' and you can have it in electronic or paper format.. or both.
Get your Erin Condren Life Planner here for $10 Off (I also get a referral benefit, thank you so much!!)
Get your Leonie Dawson Biz or Life planner on Amazon or visit her site at www.LeonieDawson.com (I don't get a referral benefit, but the joy of introducing her unique genius and super-useful info to you is reward enough!)
And, while EC is the best of the best, I have found a decent substitute for those times when I don't want to invest my dollars in a planner. That one is called The Creative Year planner. I bought mine at Michaels online because they had the best deals, but they are also available on Amazon and elsewhere.
